Whoever said it's difficult to get lost in a small country like Singapore is very wrong.
A 18-year-old Malaysian teenager who was working in Singapore got lost in late December last year. He was last seen at a HDB block at Sturdee Rd but has since been found.
Apparently the young Malaysian Chinese, who was in Singapore for the first time, got lost because all the HDB blocks look the same to him. He was staying at his friend's house and was on the way to eat at a nearby coffeeshop when he could not find his way back. The boy did not have his phone with him.
Being an introverted guy, he did not dare to ask anyone for directions. He reportedly slept at void decks until he ran out of money and resorted to begging.
He was eventually discovered and sent back to Malaysia.
Let's hope he can find a better job and way in life.
