Singaporeans going to Korea, be careful. An apartment by the name of Cynosure Studio in Myeong-dong has been scamming its customers through Booking.com when it doesn't even exist!

Malaysian "Xavier Aranggoi Maurice" posted about his bad experience on Facebook. The "owner" of the apartment, Eric, was quick to ask for full payment after Xavier made a booking. He was told to transfer RM$4760, which is about S$1500k, for 8 nights at the accommodation. Eric said that his booking will be cancelled if he did not pay up within 24 hours.

He only realised that something was wrong after failing to receive a confirmation. On top of that, his booking got cancelled. When asked for an explanation, Eric simply brushed the matter off by saying that he did not work there anymore.

Too bad for Xavier, money paid is money lost. In fact, he was not the only one who got ripped off. Many people left reviews saying that Cynosure Studio does not exist and it was a scam. So be careful not to fall into the trap, or any trap in general!
