PAP Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim is currently a Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social and Family Development. He also currently serves as a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC.
On 16 June 2019, he made a Facebook post with a photo of Pritam Singh in it. The caption writes:
Been a while since Pritam and his team visited us. Very infrequent in the last year.
Today we came across Pritam and team today, during my walkabout. Said hello.
The last time we saw them in Nee Soon was more than eight months ago - Nov 2018. And before that, we saw them in February last year.
I was with our volunteers greeting residents, and handing out Fathers Day cards.
Wishing every Dad a #HappyFathersDay.
Many netizens felt that he was being sarcastic in his post. Furthermore, Nee Soon is not even Pritam Singh's own ward.
Despite the sarcastic post from Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Pritam Singh was gracious enough to respond:
Thanks Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. Best wishes and Happy Father’s Day once again.
Netizens praised him for being so gentlemanly and called out the Assoc Prof out for the low blow.
If only everybody can be as gracious as Pritam Singh. What a breathtaking guy.
