There has always been conflicts between certain churches and the LGBTQA+. Recently, there has been a movement known as the "true love is" movement.
A netizen, Gabbi Wenyi Ayane recently spoke up on this movement. Calling it a disgrace and alleges that it is a conversion therapy masquerading as allyship to help those in need.
She mentions that the core of Christianity is love and that we should show everybody unconditional love.

i am angry, but also, i know the fucking bible, and im really tired of reading christians defending this programme with scripture. shut the fuck up. everyone loves leviticus 18:22 because it tells men not to lie with men like they lie with women. it also tells us not to eat fucking shellfish or take bank loans. modern christians totally eat shellfish and take out loans. know why?? because christ marked the end of these laws (romans 10:4) and these laws were fucking obsolete (hebrews 8:13). people also love quoting the story of sodom and gomorrah because the people of sodom were having anal sex and so obviously god hates the gays. no! sex here is described as a gang rape! gang rape!!! straight people can also engage in anal sex (-: nothing to do with healthy, loving queer relationships.
beyond all this, if youre christian & youve read this far (good for you) - can we please, please go back to the core of christianity? isnt it love?? did matthew 7:12 not tell us to do to others what we want them to do unto us? (see: would u like it if gay people gaslit you into giving up your religion??) did proverbs 3:5-6 not tell us to quit leaning on our own understanding?? @ all the christians clamouring to explain god's homophobia to queer people who are genuinely affected by this disgusting organisation - who made u the spiritual authority on God's Word? did god email u bible sparknotes?? no??? hmm (-: jesus walked with the sex workers and the sick not because he wanted to fucking convert them, he did it because he loved ! everyone ! if you love your god as much as you say you do, you will find the pieces of heaven in the people you meet and show them unconditional love, just like he did. but clearly, christianity has just become about you and your ego, and your personal need to prove that you are better and holier than everyone else. sit the fuck down and re read ur fucking bible
