Parents, don't let your child consume Dumex Mamil Gold infant milk! The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) announced the recall of this milk powder after detecting bacteria in it.

Although the recall was said to be complete, those who have already bought the affected milk powder are strongly advised not to feed it to children. The affected batches are Batch number 09117R1, Expiry – 11 Sept 2019.

More on the bacteria

The bacteria, Cronobacter sakazakii, was found in samples of the milk powder. It can survive dry conditions like in powdered milk and could be fatal to newborn babies. If your child has consumed it, look out for symptoms such as fever, poor feeding or lethargy. Do not panic and seek medical help as these are signs that are quite common for babies.

Hygiene, hygiene, hygiene! Why sabo poor babies?
