Opposition politician Goh Meng Seng has voiced his displeasure against Lim Boon Heng and Zainal Sapari for thinking that minimum wage may not be feasible for Singaporeans.

Just last week, Ambassador-At-Large Professor Tommy Koh, Lim Boon Heng and Zainal Sapari gathered for a discussion on wages in Singapore. While Prof Koh was all for the idea of introducing minimum wage in Singapore, the other two elites were not so keen. Their argument? The existing Progressive Wage Model offers better solutions.

Many people have aired their unhappiness with how the elites can conveniently overlook the pleas of Singaporeans to have a minimum wage. People's Power Party's Goh Meng Seng chipped in by saying that he was close to spewing profanities when he learned of their responses.

"The apparent lack of empathy from these highly paid elites is most glaring when they argued that $600 or $700 for a cleaner is 'fair', just because 'foreign workers' could buy two parcel of land back in their own countries!"

"Maybe these elites should try to live with $600/$700 for a month, or just let them have $800 for a month and see whether they could even feed themselves well with that."

Why is it that the Whites can earn so much and pay so little for parking? Why do Singaporeans have to live without a minimum wage but yet struggle to achieve a Swiss standard of living? Will the Government ever understand our concerns? Why not make them live on our mediocre salaries and see if they can make ends meet?

Not their salary so nevermind, no need. What bullshit.
