A foreign worker fell to his death on Tuesday in a bizarre accident while he was doing some painting works at the external facade of the Royal Plaza on Scotts, Singapore hotel.
The worker, an Indian national, was secured to a rope and hovering several stories above groind while carrying out his painting work. Unfortunately, the bottom of the rope became entangled with the side mirror of a passing bus, causing it to snap. As a result, the unfortunate worker fell to his death. All painting and cleaning works requiring the use of ropes have been suspended at the site. The Police and MOM are investigating the incident, including how the bus would have gone to the area where works were being carried out.
