Alternative news site States Times Review is no more. In a Facebook post on 8 Oct 2018, STR announced that "the dictatorship is likely to take down States Times Review on false charges of propagating fake news and foreign funding".
The editor has voluntarily shut itself after more than 4 years of alternative news reporting. The website will now function as the editor's personal blog.
Is alternative news definitely fake news? What kind of country will Singapore become if everyone is fed the same news that they want us to hear? How many Singaporeans do they want to silence?
