Many of us would remember the Trump Kim summit held in Singapore last June. It was apparently so "important" in Singapore's history that it went onto our Miss Universe Singapore's national dress.

Vietnam and Singapore are both viable options for North Korea as they have embassies here. Vietnam has expressed interest over hosting the summit and is also of flying distance for the North Korean plane, the Chammae-1, which is capable of flying a distance of 7000km.
The White House has also sent scouting teams to various other countries to inspect if the locations are suitable.
