In case you missed it, two million pieces of the Singapore bicentennial commemorative note, $20 a piece, was launched yesterday. Each person can exchange up to 20 notes at face value per transaction.
However, the $20 note started hitting Carouhell with people selling it at exorbitant prices. There was one found going for S$1,688 for a set of five notes.
There are also listings going for S$777 due to the serial number 77777 and S$888 for a set of two notes with the serial numbers 91 and 92.
