A double tragedy occurred to a family of strays. The family, made up of Daddy Dasani (black), Mummy Evian (brown) and their son Fiji (white) are a group of strays which hang around the newater area. Over the past two weeks, Evian and Fiji were involved in a hit and run accident. No assistance were given to the dogs after being hit. Under the Road Traffic Act, motorists failing to stop and help the dogs that were hit would result in a fine not exceeding $3,000, or a jail term not exceeding 12 months.
SOSD (Save Our Street Dogs) Singapore has made a police report hoping to find the motorists who knocked down both family members and also hope to find any witnesses. They are also appealing for a fosterer/adopter for Dasani. Interested parties can contact 90677953 for matters relating to the above.
