A restaurant in Holland Village lived up to its name, as a customer who went over while in the middle of having drinks with his friends to grab something to eat, found out why the restaurant was named #wtf.
The man, a Mr John Singh, crossed over to the restaurant, which is called #wtf by Indochine Group, as he felt hungry and wanted to buy some tom yam soup for takeaway. The staff of the restaurant delivered the food to Mr Singh and his friends at the bar where they were having their festive gathering, and Mr Singh started to consume his tom yam soup.
However, half way through his meal, he noticed a black thing inside. At first, he thought it was some herbs that was part of the soup, but he realised that it was actually a baby cockroach. Mr Singh also said that the cockroach actually looked cooked, so it was not a case of a cockroach falling into the soup when it was served, but rather it was also part of an (unwitting) ingredient of the soup.
To be fair, the restaurant refunded Mr Singh the cost of the soup when informed, but Mr Singh had also made a police report. He said he did that as he was disgusted, and in the wake of the recent cases of food poisoning, such things cannot be taken lightly.
