The Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) announced that they have sacked two of their staff, while their CEO and four other senior management were fined for their negligence in SingHealth cyber attack.
IHis announced that the two sacked staff was a Team Leader in the Citrix Team and a Security Incident Response Manager, and they were both found to be negligent in their duties and failed to follow orders. A third staff was found to be incompetent in his work and not suitable to his role as a Cluster Information Security Officer, thus he was demoted and reassigned. They also imposed financial penalty to their top senior management, for their failure in leadership responsibility.
IHiS has led the way in coming down hard on senior staff who were found to be negligent and unsuitable in their roles. And all this while, we have incompetent Ministers who under their stewardship has seen many faults appearing in all public service sectors, yet they still sit in their cushy seats in their ivory tower.
