The Singapore Democratic Party will launch its housing policy tomorrow.
In a Facebook post today, the SDP acknowledged the problems many Singaporeans face with regards to housing and promised to come up with ideas to improve lives. It cited an International Demographia Survey which reportedly ranked our housing as "seriously unaffordable."
"To top it off, our flats are depreciating assets" even though Singaporeans are repeatedly told the opposite.
What should Singaporeans believe? That it is ok to struggle to pay off our flats or that it is ok to actually get some help?
The SDP realises an urgent need to fine-tune our housing policy and will be presenting its ideas to attendees at its Ang Mo Kio office soon. The future may look bleak, but at least they are coming up with solutions rather than giving Singaporeans more problems and then telling us it's ok.
