An unexploded war relic, suspected to be from world war II was found at a construction site at Geylang lor 23, near Aljunied MRT today. The explosive ordnance Disposal team from Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) was seen cordoning the area.
According to CNA, the war relic was not live. Contractors have been instructed to get third-party contractors to safely remove the relic. As of 2pm, the relic has not been removed.
Luckily it was not live and nothing happened. Can you imagine the damage that will be done if it goes off and damage the nearby buildings and MRT tracks?
