The data leaks in Singapore shows no signs ab abetting, as yet another personal data breach occurred. This time, the personal information of more than 800,000 blood donors was put online improperly for two months, was accessed illegally, and was possibly even stolen.
It was initially though that only one breach occurred, but it later transpired that a vendor from HSA also noticed suspicious activity, and it was found the data was being accessed suspiciously from many IP addresses between October and March this year. It was not stated if these IP addresses are local or foreign in origin.
The information of the data leaks include donors' blood type, height, weight and the dates of their last three donations. HSA have said that they are aware of the breach, and that police are investigating.
