Actor Aloysius Pang is in very serious condition after meeting with an accident while on reservist training in New Zealand. He was doing repair works inside a self-propelled Howitzer.
In a Facebook post on 23 Jan 2019, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen updated that Pang needs to be on artificial life support for his lung, kidneys and heart. His condition has worsened despite undergoing a few surgeries. Fellow actor Dasmond Koh is reportedly accompanying him in the ICU.
"Dr Teo told me that surgeons and staff at the Waikato Hospital – a regional trauma center – are doing all they possibly can to keep up the support and improve his condition...
Even as the doctors do all they can, our prayers go to CFC (NS) Pang to turn this difficult corner, as well as to his family members for strength."
