Many customers started to queue in the wee hours of the morning. Videos of these insane queues are online everywhere. For example:

However, the overwhelming response has backfired on Huawei. With notices of the phone being sold out even before the sale even started! Netizens of course flocked to Huawei Singapore's Facebook page to comment on this issue with photos of this sign.

With so many people queuing for the disappointment up ahead, will Huawei come up with anything to appease their customers as an apology? How can the phones be sold out even before the sale started? Amazing. Good luck to those queuing, hope you can get a phone.

Meet our local barber who gave Manchester United players a trim!

Mr Muhammad Khairi, 28, is the owner of The 'A' Street Barber Shop which opened since 4 years ago.

In an interview he said,

“When I first got the text to give haircuts for the Manchester United players, I was just sitting and relaxing after Friday prayers. I didn’t believe it. I thought it was a scam.

I think I’ll remember cutting every single one of the players’ hair for the rest of my life, especially Paul Pogba. He is well known for his lifestyle. He is also very particular about his hair, so that got me a bit tense.

After this experience, yeah, I think I can call Ashley Young my friend. When he was getting booed at the stadium last Saturday, I was very protective of him - like eh, why were you booing my friend?

I’ve been cutting hair professionally for six years. I started cutting my friends’ hair when I was 15, but I only thought about making it my career after National Service.

Back then, those gentleman barbers were trending. So, I jumped onto the bandwagon and opened The 'A' Street Barber Shop four years ago.

As a barber, you need to be passionate about cutting hair and love making people look good. I hope I can cut Gurmit Singh’s hair next as I think he’s a very nice guy. He seems super genuine.

I wouldn’t say this has made me a better barber, but it made me a better person. People are complimenting and congratulating me. I feel so humbled.”

Congratulations and don't ever give up on your dreams!

And thank you for standing up for Ashley.

Chiobu Liew knows that the cost of living in Singapore is on the rise.

As consumers, are we being served properly despite paying for premium prices for a cup of tea?

Take a look at this cup being used to serve tea. First it’s chipped with the potential of cutting the consumer’s lip. Next, this is the concentration point of bacteria at the chipped area.

The objective of profiteering are taken into extreme by this act.

Money is the key objective of this store regardless of consumer/customer safety. So please beware.

You have the right to reject such cup if you notice it before collecting from the serving counter.

Bryan Lim Boon Heng, current treasurer for the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) wrote on his Facebook page yesterday about his experience while engaging residents in Bukit Panjang two days ago.

He was making rounds with the chairman Professor Paul Tambyah when they met a two Vietnamese residents whom they took photos with together. However, within the hour, they emailed SDP to have their photos deleted. Lim thinks that it might be due to them being afraid of their work permits getting revoked just for taking photos with an opposition party.

Lim had 3 questions in his mind after the incident:

1. Will they have made the same request if the photos were taken with the PAP incumbents?

2. Are they fearful coz they have never come across alternative political parties in communist Vietnam which may have been “outlawed”?

3. Or they may have probably heard of the PAP’s “reputation for witch hunting” & decide to practice self-censorship like what many Singaporeans do?

Lim then mentioned that it was a "sad day for freedom of association & expression- principles of democracy which we endear."

Why do you think the Vietnamese residents requested for their photos to be deleted? Are they really that afraid of our current Government revoking their permits just because they associated themselves with an opposition party? Or is it because of Lim's second point. I guess we will never find out. But it does not bode well for us if people are really that afraid of our current Government. Will people stop speaking up entirely if they were that afraid? We hope not.

As a customer, it is only normal for a customer to expect that a product ordered online arrives in good condition.

This customer didn't get that.

He had ordered an item from Lazada. The product was sent via SingPost.

However, when he checked his letter-box, the good was not there.

Out of curiosity, he took a look at a white plastic bag at the top of the letterbox. To his horror, the bag contained his details but it was empty.

Online-shopping is becoming very normal way for Singaporeans to shop.

Ensuring that the goods they ordered arrive on time and in good condition is only good for your business.

The companies have to come together to ensure that the customers' interests are served. Otherwise, they'll turn to other options in the market.

There has always been conflicts between certain churches and the LGBTQA+. Recently, there has been a movement known as the "true love is" movement.

A netizen, Gabbi Wenyi Ayane recently spoke up on this movement. Calling it a disgrace and alleges that it is a conversion therapy masquerading as allyship to help those in need.

She mentions that the core of Christianity is love and that we should  show everybody unconditional love.

tw rape & religion. truelove.is has been gaining traction in singaporean churches. it is conversion therapy masquerading as allyship. its terrifying that in this day and age, we're greenlighting psychological manipulation to "convert" queer people to fit society's cisheteronormative standards.

i am angry, but also, i know the fucking bible, and im really tired of reading christians defending this programme with scripture. shut the fuck up. everyone loves leviticus 18:22 because it tells men not to lie with men like they lie with women. it also tells us not to eat fucking shellfish or take bank loans. modern christians totally eat shellfish and take out loans. know why?? because christ marked the end of these laws (romans 10:4) and these laws were fucking obsolete (hebrews 8:13). people also love quoting the story of sodom and gomorrah because the people of sodom were having anal sex and so obviously god hates the gays. no! sex here is described as a gang rape! gang rape!!! straight people can also engage in anal sex (-: nothing to do with healthy, loving queer relationships.

beyond all this, if youre christian & youve read this far (good for you) - can we please, please go back to the core of christianity? isnt it love?? did matthew 7:12 not tell us to do to others what we want them to do unto us? (see: would u like it if gay people gaslit you into giving up your religion??) did proverbs 3:5-6 not tell us to quit leaning on our own understanding?? @ all the christians clamouring to explain god's homophobia to queer people who are genuinely affected by this disgusting organisation - who made u the spiritual authority on God's Word? did god email u bible sparknotes?? no??? hmm (-: jesus walked with the sex workers and the sick not because he wanted to fucking convert them, he did it because he loved ! everyone ! if you love your god as much as you say you do, you will find the pieces of heaven in the people you meet and show them unconditional love, just like he did. but clearly, christianity has just become about you and your ego, and your personal need to prove that you are better and holier than everyone else. sit the fuck down and re read ur fucking bible

What do you think of this movement?
