ESM Goh Chok Tong recently opened a dog run enclosure at Koon Seng Park, in his Joo Chiat ward and proudly posted the work he has done on hos FB page.

In the post, he also said that he was pleasantly surprised that he received a letter of appreciation from the residents when he was doing his walkabout at the newly opened dog facility. He noted that the dog owners were happy making friends, and the dogs are also happily making friends with other dogs at the enclosure.

He then dropped a subtle bombshell, saying that he was not a big fan of dogs himself. This was because of a couple of incidents when he was younger and not yet being a tall order. Once, he was bitten by a dog that belonged to his neighbour, and another time, he was chased by another dog, this time a mongrel. When dogs chase or bite you, they clearly think you are a threat and dislike you. Even dogs know.

So, after two intensive day of bringing to public what in essence is a family squabble, the AGC have issued a statement that basically say they will not comment any further on the case, and urged all other parties to cease prejudicing the case by posting their own comments online.

Lee Hsien Yang's latest post had called for the AGC to make public their correspondence with Lee Suet Fern, that disrepute the claims that Suet Fern had ignored the AGC calls for her to explain her role in the matter. LHY had also said that no one had “complained from the outset on the process and circumstances of our father’s signing his final will”. He then questioned why the AGC is rushing this case in 2019 only, when the facts of the case had been known for years prior.

It remains to be seen whether LHY and Lee Wei Ling will continue their online battle despite AGC's call for a temporary truce.

Singaporeans are in for the very long-running familee drama again. Lee Hsien Yang has responded to news of his wife, Lee Suet Fern and her possible misconduct in preparing Lee Kuan Yew's will.

In a Facebook post on 7 Jan 2019, he said that his wife was never Lee Kuan Yew's lawyer. LKY's will was always completed and kept with his lawyers at Lee & Lee, who have been his lawyers since the first will in 1995.

Furthermore, nobody has complained about LKY's first will even though it was drafted by his wife, Kwa Geok Choo, who was then the principal beneficiary. So why find fault with it now?

"No one has complained from the outset on the process and circumstances of our father’s signing his final will - not Lee Kuan Yew, not his estate which stands in his shoes after his death, not any of the beneficiaries, including Lee Hsien Loong, who was advised by Lucien Wong, now AG. The will was proven in court in 2015 with no issues raised; all parties have acted in accordance with the will since then."

Should AGC release the full correspondence? Why are they rushing the case and wasting so much public resources on a private matter when it did not give them any problem after so many years? How will this make Singapore look to the rest of the world? What do they take Singaporeans for?

Our beloved Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has responded to Dr Tan Cheng Bock's New Year message. A few days ago, Dr Tan announced in a Facebook post that he will be retiring from medical practice.

"I tell them that retirement is not an option for me I am merely switching my role from serving patients to serving people. I always say that medicine is my love, but politics is my calling.

The country and the peoples' welfare are my top priority.

I look forward to serving Singapore in a new way in this new season of life."

Then yesterday, Goh Chok Tong wondered if the phrase "to serve my country" is too cliche and if politicians nowadays truly have good intentions in making it happen. He said: "Fathoming a person's heart beyond his words is difficult. One, therefore, must be especially sceptical of any veteran politician's practised words."

Seems like he fired a shot at Tan Cheng Bock, but if that's the case, shouldn't Singaporeans be equally sceptical of the elites and their empty promises? Does GCT really want to wish Singaporeans a Happy New Year or is he taking the chance to indirectly whack someone else?

Have more sincerity can? Old liao doesn't mean can anyhow talk. Pot calling the kettle black?

Despite tensions rising week after week between Malaysia and Singapore, our dear Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has saw fit to go on annual leave for the rest of 2018, leaving Singapore in the "good hands" of his deputies.

Singaporeans should also be reminded that despite the raging dispute between our two nations, Lee Hsien Loong has not made a single public statement about the matter. Could this be a reflection of his apathy and lack of respect or interest in the issue?

Malaysia Prime Minister has time and again chimed in on the issue and made known his government's position on the maritime and ILS dispute, our Prime Minister has chosen to keep mum and leave Singaporeans hanging without any direction or leadership.

Considering that taxpayers pay him millions of dollars, the highest paid politician in the world, shouldn't more be expected of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong or is it also too much to ask? I find it ridiculous that at a time of national crisis, our top leader is allowed or has the gall to go on leave, shouldn't it be all hands on deck to solve the problem? Maybe that is why Singapore propose to only meet the Malaysians in January because they don't want to spoil their holiday plans.

How about those hawkers, taxi drivers who do not have annual leave? Can the government waive off their rental or allow them to claim holiday paid? Can the hawker cleaner go on 2 weeks annual leave too? Shame on our leader.

Is this the kind of leadership we expect of our elite Ministers?

Workers Party Chief and Member of Parliament Pritam Singh recently shared on his Facebook a chance meeting with a Malaysian men's netball team while he and his WP team were doing their rounds at the Bendemeer Road hawker centre and market. In his post, he indicated that the Malaysians were warm and very friendly, and were great ambassadors for Malaysia, totally different form the hate spewed online by Malaysians on Singapore, and vice versa.

The men's team were in Singapore for a netball tri-nation tournament held at the SUTD. Both Malaysians and Singaporeans exchanged friendly banter, and Mr Pritam Singh observed that this was is stark contrast with the shrill, jingoistic and racist online comments from some Singaporeans and Malaysians as a result of the security events of the last few days. He also indicated that social media have given rise to extremist views, and that most Malaysians and Singaporeans are actually very amicable to each other outside of the social network bubble.

Pritam Singh ended his FB post by calling on both sides to be level-headed and think of their fellow countrymen and children. Probably the only politician who have his head screwed on right during this mini crisis with Malaysia in the past few weeks.
