Singaporean Edward Foo was allegedly rejected by MP Lee Bee Wah after wanting to talk to her about the Ready4Repeal movement. According to his post, the MP simply brushed him off by saying that she had to tend to other residents and their "real" problems.

Is the LGBT issue not a problem in Singapore? Are we not allowed to talk about it at all? As a MP, how can she reject her resident?

Foo was with three other friends who were supposed to meet the MP together. Although they took the same queue number, they were one by one refused and asked to leave.

"The MP walks over, shakes our hands one by one, and immediately asks if we are related. The other resident of the GRC replies that we are not, but we have come together as we were there to discuss the same topic. The MP then immediately asked them to leave as she only wanted to talk to her residents. At this point the other resident of the GRC replies, telling the MP that she does live here, and is a resident of the GRC. The MP then asks her to leave as well, and take a seperate queue number. The MP then stated that 'she thinks she knows what this is about', as her other MPs have 'mentioned this before'. She waited for all three of my friends to leave, and I was left alone. She then asked me to 'say what I wanted to say'. I then said: 'This is regarding section 377a, and I was wondering what your views on this matter are.' The MP then said: 'I have other residents with real problems', and exited the room."

Afterwards, Foo tried to get the attention of the MP and her letter writer but felt like they were consciously trying to avoid him. While he managed to pass the Ready4Repeal petition to the writer, he should not have been treated in such low regard.

So much for wanting to listen to residents and helping Singaporeans. Don't turn the blame on us when one day Singaporeans refuse to listen to you.

How many of you own animals? And how many of you send them to groomers to have their hairs cut, nails trimmed, etc. Do you trust them?

This Facebook User Rei Tsy trusted this company of pet groomers to get his cat groomed. But they sent the cat back, wet, hurt and in a cardboard box. You can read the full post below:

"Utterly disappointed with CAT SPACE SG Catspace and Meelo came back home in a SEALED CARTON BOX. Apparently this afternoon, my mom called the boss of that shop to come my house to collect Meelo, so he asked if my mom has the carrier. My mom told him that we have and it's in the storeroom, have to dig and find the carrier. So he was "nice" enough to tell my mom that's its okay, he will BRING the carrier to my house.
He collected from my mom $120 for the grooming + $30 transportation. Ok, the price is decent. But this is a fucking nightmare for Meelo la. Look at the pictures, knn limbei can groom better than them.
Meelo came back WET, ears not cleaned. Furs around his paws not cut. And my mom called him, he still got the fucking cheeks to tell my mom that now Meelo also no hair liao, a little bit wet nevermind. Smlj is this??? Every where cuts. Still can say because meelo is aggressive??? Which cat is so easy to handle? If your groomers can't handle my cat, at the very least give us a call and stop abusing Meelo. He's so traumatised now. WhatsApp them and NO REPLY AFTER MY LAST MESSAGE. ???

*UPDATE*
This morning, the owner called my mom and offered to regroom Meelo at another groomer, on their cost.

SML
It's like today I eat chicken rice at your shop, eat already laosai whole day, then you offer to treat me to chicken rice elsewhere as compensation. CAN MEH???

Don't see my mom aunty aunty then talk to her instead of me.

*UPDATE 2*

Owner of catspace finally called me after I had to double text him (note that he hasn't replied since ytd night) to deal things with me directly

Zero remorse on regards to what he did. Totally cannot sia. Huhu"

Would you continue to trust such groomers to groom your pets? Simply unacceptable.

Ex-NMP Eunice Olsen lodged a police report against a Circles Life advertisement that featured her name. It read: "@euniceolsen Would you rather French kiss or take me out for the French Film Festival?"

Olsen said that she did not know anything about the advertisement and did not give her permission for them to use her name. She found it sexist and hopes that Singapore will have laws against similar advertisements in future. "This ad is sexist and derogatory, and using someone's name without permission. Companies should not get away with with putting up ads like these".

Her approach was however met with some disdain. Olsen had to clarify that she did not mean to profit from this matter and was just standing up for women's empowerment. She promised to promote more conversations on responsible advertising so that the nation can progress together:

"This is a larger conversation I would like to continue with all of you, whether you are in advertising or not. I am also hoping to meet the company to see what we can do together, and how I can work with different industry players in advertising to make sure that as our nation progresses, we can mature in our conversation around how women are portrayed in advertising, gender equality in the industry, and in Singapore."

Really? But people these days are more concerned about rising costs of living to even care about responsible advertising. Maybe she shouldn't bother. Talk about understanding ground sentiments.

A man staying on the ground floor at Warren condominium had the displeasure of having flower pots dropping from neighbours who stay above him. This was the second time that something like this has happened to him. Is this just bad luck? Whatever it is, I hope the pots stop dropping and turning into killer litter.

"Hi.. I am a resident of the Warren condominium.. I live at the ground floor. A flower pot has landed on to my patio yesterday and this is the 2nd time.. I have reported to the management the first time.. But nothing much has been done.. Yesterday was the 2nd time.. I have no choice but to report police.. I would like to create some awareness to the public.. So some action can be taken.. I have some pictures too..

This incident happened on 26 Nov 2018"

A video of two kids opening sealed jars and dipping their fingers into the contents and tasting them before putting the jars back on the shelf has been going around on social media. It is unknown which supermarket the kids were at. Why are the younger generation doing things like these? What would you do if your children does such things? It is no wonder we have a declining birth rate in Singapore.

On 28 Nov 2018, Facebook User Lee Hwa uploaded three videos depicting debris (allegedly from the facade of Wanderlust hotel, located at 2 Dickson Road) strewn across a road and a man who appeared to be disorientated. The debris had presumably fallen on the man.

We hope that the man can recover soon. Shouldn't checks on buildings be done more regularly to ensure that these things don't happen?
