It was a time for mourning for Twitter User Zul_Taylor for his beloved cat (pictured above) died. He was trying to have a burial for his cat but was interrupted by an intense and loud love making session by his neighbours staying in the nearby flat. The moaning was so loud that Zul was able to record it on video from the first floor.

In the video, Zul said (translated) "I’m about to bury my cat right now, but can you see this second floor? If you guys can hear what I can hear. They’re having sex and they’re moaning loudly. I can’t concentrate."

He claimed that at the time of the incident, he was digging a hole for the dead cat. He was also plugged into his earpiece and listening to some music. Despite that, he could still hear the moaning going on. You can watch his video here:

That is one loud session. We hope they had fun.

Some people are just born without self awareness. In this century, there are still people who reprimand and judge people for having tattoos. Local Redditor unicornflai talks about her experience on the train where she met a mother and her child who were laughing at her tattoos. You can read the full post here:

"Today i was on train, ended school late and was rushing to work. Already half pissed for being late. Having 1 for 1 drinks promo at my workplace at starbucks today so it was super bz and there was lack of manpower. Addition to that, having my manager pissed at me for being late did not help with my mood

I was standing, leaning on a partition which is transparent (I attached a pic below) and beside the partition was a mother carrying her kid. The kid was pointing at my tattoos covering half my right leg and laughing to his mum. The mum laughed with him LOL (wtf right) and then he turned to me and laughed. Was already pretty annoyed actually but whatever. Tbh im quite used to ppl looking/judging my tattoos since im a female an have quite a lot of tattoos on my body. However i genuinely do not favor kids and would prefer as little interaction with them as possible so i just continued to scroll through insta

Picture of the train partition thingy

Apparently the mum got triggered and check out what she told me AND I QUOTE

Mother: Hey, my sweet kid smiled at you, couldnt you be less rude and at least smile back at him and get off your phone for once? It's called having basic courtesy

Me: Oh, sorry but i was busy on my phone, and he was laughing not smil-

(Before i could even fuckin finish my damned sentence)

Mother: I see, no wonder. Look at your disgusting tattoos on your thigh. no wonder youre so ill-mannered. Who taught you to put those things on your legs? Don't you know that your body is god's temple and you should never ever ruin it? disgusting.

Lol

I hate kids even more now

I have tattoos & i dont smile at kids and ta-da, im a criminal"

Who's the rude one here?

Full post on: Its a crime not to smile at kids i guess from r/childfree

For those unfamiliar, Leong Sze Hian is a well known activist, local blogger and financial adviser. He is a past President of Maruah, Singapore's Human Rights Organization. He is now being sued by PM Lee for defamation for sharing an article by The Coverage which was based on an article States Times Review (STR) wrote "Lee Hsien Loong becomes 1MDB's key investigation target".

Leong Sze Hian allegedly didn't add on any captions or comments to the shared article. According to Straits Times, Leong allegedly shared the article on 7 Nov 2018 and taken down on 10 Nov 2018 after IMDA sent Leong a letter to take down the shared post in six hours. Leong is understood to have complied with the letter. The post was also understood to only have about 18 shares before being taken down.

On 12 Nov 2018, Leong received a letter from Drew & Napier which demands Leong to make a public apology and compensate PM Lee for damages incurred. The letter contained a statement by Senior Counsel Davinder Singh "Those allegations are false and baseless and constitute a very serious libel against our client, and disparage and impugn his character, credit and integrity". PM Lee's lawyers also added that it was clear that Leong had published the post to "maliciously and to damage our client".

On 5 Dec 2018, Leong Sze Hian made a FB post to let the public have a more accurate picture of the situation instead of being misled by the 151 media. He also included the pictures of the various court documents hung on his front date. You can read his full post here:

Do you think it's fair for him to get sued for defamation like this? All he did was share a Facebook post. What about the other Singaporeans who have also shared the post? Are they all waiting at home to receive their lawyer letters now?

The recent food poisoning cases all stemmed from packed food. Little would anybody expect a huge food poisoning case to be from a wedding lunch banquet at a 5-star hotel, Mandarin Orchard. The lunch an eight course meal which was catered to more than 400 guests.

The father of the bride, Mr Jeffrey Sivalingam, 61, said that about four people from each table fell ill. From our calculations, that should be about 160 guests who fell ill from the lunch!

A spokesperson from the hotel claims that they are now assisting with the health authorities and looking into the matter. The hotel will also cease serving raw food from it's banquet kitchens.

This has been the fourth major food poisoning case since that November. Is there some kind of pandemic going on? Why are there so many major cases popping up all of a sudden?

Opposition politician Goh Meng Seng has voiced his displeasure against Lim Boon Heng and Zainal Sapari for thinking that minimum wage may not be feasible for Singaporeans.

Just last week, Ambassador-At-Large Professor Tommy Koh, Lim Boon Heng and Zainal Sapari gathered for a discussion on wages in Singapore. While Prof Koh was all for the idea of introducing minimum wage in Singapore, the other two elites were not so keen. Their argument? The existing Progressive Wage Model offers better solutions.

Many people have aired their unhappiness with how the elites can conveniently overlook the pleas of Singaporeans to have a minimum wage. People's Power Party's Goh Meng Seng chipped in by saying that he was close to spewing profanities when he learned of their responses.

"The apparent lack of empathy from these highly paid elites is most glaring when they argued that $600 or $700 for a cleaner is 'fair', just because 'foreign workers' could buy two parcel of land back in their own countries!"

"Maybe these elites should try to live with $600/$700 for a month, or just let them have $800 for a month and see whether they could even feed themselves well with that."

Why is it that the Whites can earn so much and pay so little for parking? Why do Singaporeans have to live without a minimum wage but yet struggle to achieve a Swiss standard of living? Will the Government ever understand our concerns? Why not make them live on our mediocre salaries and see if they can make ends meet?

Not their salary so nevermind, no need. What bullshit.

Singaporeans are always concerned about bread and butter issues. A netizen complained on Facebook about the price of eggs and saw her post go viral in just a few hours.

She said: "I have just returned from NTUC and saw price of 30 eggs has again risen! Now it's $5.20! In Jan, it was $3++. 5 month ago, about $4++. Now $5++. I do not know what is causing this hyperinflation. But we all know with 9%GST, if the trend continues, will we then be paying $10++ for 30 eggs? Let's celebrate the rising cost of living. Anything that happens in SG must be good. The country is perfect right?"

She also complained about having to find a fourth job to support herself thanks to the rising cost of living.

Are we having to pay too much for simple day-to-day ingredients? Are we being robbed in broad daylight?

Do we have to live like this or will a better government offer more practical solutions?
