There was a time, not so long ago, that Toyota Crown taxis were seen plying the roads of Singapore. This was a time when taxis in Singapore were only of this make and model, and none of the Renault, Hyundai or even Mercedes taxis were remotely seen as taxis.

The Toyota Crown taxis were reportedly phased out in 2014. However, it is reported that there is at least still two of these taxis that are out on the road. So, it was in one of those rare moments when one of the tow taxis was actually seen at Simei. A FB post by one Terence Hong indicated that he came across the taxi at St. Andrews's Community Hospital in Simei.

The taxi was such a relic, that it even still had a decal on its window, indicating the flag-down fare was just $2.80! If only we can travel back in time to pay such fees for transportation!

The recent food poisoning case which involved food catered from Spize have unfortunately taken one victim away forever. The SATS officer who was warded in a critical condition in ICU with lung and kidney failures have died on Wednesday.

Reports cited that the man who passed away was SATS officer Mr Fadli Salleh, who was married with two young children. He had been warded in the ICU of Sengkang General Hospital in critical condition, and was one of 72 people affected after bento sets prepared by Spize's River Valley outlet last Tuesday. This was fora Deepavali event organised by security company Brink's Singapore, and was held at its premises in Kaki Bukit. Mr Fadli was attached to Brink's Singapore, and did not involve SATS.

MOH added that as of Wednesday evening, nine people are still hospitalised because of the issue, but 36 have been discharged. Mr Fadli's death is being investigated by the coroner. Spize's River Valley outlet is still suspended pending investigations by MOH, NEA and AVA.

Efforts has been made to contact her friends and relatives but to no avail. The woman is currently held at Geylang NPC. If anybody knows who she is, feel free to come forward and help.

A video of a man pinning down a woman and punching her face has been circulating around social media. According to some witnesses, the man allegedly pushed the woman off the bus before pinning her down and beating her up. The woman had apparently said something which angered the man before the violence broke out.

The man and woman are supposedly married but going through divorce proceedings. The woman was sent to the hospital to treat her injuries on her head and hands.
