The suspect in the StanChart robbery that happened way back in 2016 at the Holland Village branch, is appealing against his extradition from UK to Singapore to face charges.

David James Roach, a 28 year old Canadian, had already filed in his appeal in the UK on the 31 October. It was confirmed that the British Secretary of State had ordered Roach to be extradited to Singapore. Roach has been in jail in Britain since January 11 this year after a request from Singapore for his extradition request. Roach had been accused of robbing $30,000 from the bank, and fled with his loot to Bangkok on the same day. He was arrested in Bangkok three days later and was held on remand, but Thailand rejected Singapore's extradition request.

Roach was on his way to be deported to Canada from Thailand when he was arrested in the UK while on transit.

Deyi Secondary students recently displayed a spirit none thought was possible amongst the strawberry generation, keyboard warriors age we are in now. They tok on their school principal over the perceived unfair sacking of the school's drink vendor.

The students tipped off the alternative media about the sacking of the drinks vendor, known as Madam Yap to the students. It was alleged that Madam Yap, who had been working in the school canteen continuously for 38 years, was sacked by the school principal as she had provided some students with disposable cups for takeaway. The school is practising an environmental friendly approach, where disposable cups are not allowed. However, the students were caught by the principal as they went back to their classroooms instead of heading off. The principal sees the act of providing the disposable cups as poor behaviour, and immediately fired Madam Yap. Students also claimed that the principal has always been rude to Madam Yap on numerous occasions.

However, the school refuted the chain of events. In their statement, they indicated that Madam Yap have been given fair warning since February 2018 for hygienic malpractice. Despite the warnings, Madam Yap did not improve and thus the school decided not to renew her contract after this year. Madam Yap had also refused to sell healthier items despite being told by the school to do so.

So the students proved that such matters cannot be swept under the carpet, but when you are upper management, you always win.

In a relatively empty MRT carriage, two guys are seen swinging punches at each other just like what you would see in a MMA fight. Throughout the video, you will hear the word LAI (Chinese for come).

You also know that the fight was real and not some fake wrestling from WWE because of the blood that was splattered all over the floor in the train. Two men, 16 and 25 years old were arrested for affray. The fighting was allegedly started due to a staring incident.

An endangered owl was found injured at Jurong West a few days ago. The poor owl stunned a resident by knocking onto a window pane and falling to the ground. It was later found with an injured leg.

The owl is reportedly an endangered Woody owl which is more commonly seen nowadays.

According to a Facebook post by Ted Ng, people who notice an injured bird should call ACRES and wait there until help arrives.

"1) Call ACRES, wait for them to arrive, meantime check for any danger around for the bird. (Cats and dogs)

2) possible get a towel to cover the bird and place it in a box. Especially Raptors with sharp claws

3) Once ACRES collected the bird please take videos or photos as evidence to proof that you have handed over the bird and your job is done."

Poor animals. Now that Singapore is developing every possible plot of land into a business opportunity, where can they escape to? It is no wonder Singaporeans are increasingly having bizzare encounters with them these days.
