An SQ plane was safely escorted back to Changi Airport by Singapore Air Force and landed safely on Tuesday morning, after a mid-air bomb threat alert. The plane was from Mumbai, and checks by the authorities discovered no suspicious items.

All passengers from the plane disembarked safely and had to undergo security screenings before being allowed to leave. A woman and a child, however, were held back for questioning by the police. Checks indicated that Singapore Airlines received a call at 11:35pm on Monday after the plane had left Mumbai airport. The caller claimed that there was a bomb on board.

It was understood that the plane had 263 passengers on board. No further details were given as to why the woman and the child on board the plane had been held back by the police for questioning.

Our Ministers are very precious. The police are investigating two netizens in relation to making comments about throwing an egg at K Shanmugam. A 20-year-old allegedly commented that he can throw an egg at the minister while a 47-year-old provided more information on an upcoming Meet-the-People session.

Their comments were made in response to Australian senator Fraser Anning's racist remarks and how he was recorded being smashed on the head with an egg by a brave teenage boy.

The netizen who first made the comment said that he did not expect police officers to turn up at his house because of a harmless comment.

If convicted, the two of them may face up to 5 years in prison and slapped with a fine.

All because of an egg. Is this how the authorities use public resources? Is this how timid and alarmist we have become?

In the words of netizen Andrew Loh:

"Sometimes I question how we are spending precious public resources to investigate small matters, like a person holding up a mirror in front of Parliament house, or a person who held a private behind-the-door Skype chat, or some people reading the same book on a mrt train, or one person sharing a Facebook post, or one person posting an opinion in a private Facebook post outside of Singapore.

I think we have become an intolerant, dumb society."

You know what? He is not wrong.

While many of us dread the fact that Nas Daily is coming to Singapore, going as far as having petitions and votes on whether he should come here, one Singapore company, 99.co, is helping them find a house in Singapore.

The sales director of 99.co can be seen in a video challenging the Nas and his girlfriend to find a house through their portal and 99.co will cover 3 months of their housing rent up to $5,000 a month.

This challenge was accepted by Nas's girlfriend Alyne hours later.

So we have to see his face around Singapore, knowing that he has 3 months of free rent up to $5,000? Great. Life sure is good for pinky and his cronies. Hope he everyday take MRT break down.

There will be a protest happening at Hong Lim Park this Saturday, 30 Mar 2019, by Hyflux investors. Hyflux has been embroiled in many controversies after failing to resolve its defaults. The second largest water desalination plant in Singapore was issued a notice by PUB due to problems with its water purchase agreement and debt.

People's Voice's Lim Tean has declared that he will be there as well.

"It is disgraceful how the 34,000 retail investors in Hyflux who invested a total of $900 million in the company, which was heavily backed by the government and the financial regulators who allowed CPF monies to be invested, are being treated. They stand to lose up to 97% of their investments and for many of them the loss will severely affect their families and lifestyle.

Once again, ordinary Singaporeans have been let down by this PAP government. Peoples Voice urge Singaporeans to attend this important Hong Lim Park Rally to support our fellow Singaporeans who have been hurt by their investments in Hyflux."

Nothing is reliable or trustworthy these days.

In news report that was shared on Stomp, a biker was seen voluntarily stepping down from his bike and put on hold his original destination, and stood under the hot sun to direct traffic, after a Woodlands traffic light broke down.

Drivers and riders were stuck when the traffic light stopped working at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 6 and Woodlands Avenue 7 on a hot and humid Saturday afternoon. One rider, the biker, took it upon himself to step up, and began directing traffic. Most motorists at first thought the biker was a Traffic Police officer, but it turned out he was not as he was wearing home clothes. According to eye witnesses, the biker had parked his bike by the side of the road and took on the role of a Traffic Police officer.

While netizens have come out in praise of the public spiritedness of the biker, it was not known how the Traffic Police themselves will view this. After all, this can be construed as posing as a public service officer.
