The NEA have confirmed that they are investigating an eatery in Toa Payoh after a video went viral showing a rat scurrying around the food trays of a particular stall in Toa Payoh. In the clip, a few roast ducks can also be seen hanging near where the rat was scurrying.

It was reported in the media that the stall is Lee Kwang Kee Teochew Cuisine, which is located at Toa Payoh Lorong 8. NEA confirmed that they had inspected the premises of the said stall following the incident.

An employee who was interviewed said that the boss was informed immediately once they saw the rat, and that all the ingredients that was on the counter, including the roast ducks, were disposed off. The area had also been cleaned and disinfected.

Better to be safe than sorry?

Facebook user Goh Stallone has warned men to avoid a pervert who is allegedly sniping photos of other males in toilets. According to him, the pervert loiters in the gents at Plaza Singapura, level 7, and is frequently there on weekends.

"There is a pervert at PS, where he will take video of those guys going to the cubicle beside it. The moment someone enter the cubicle on either side, he will stand up & start taking video with his handphone from under the partition."

Dirty-minded, desperate and nothing better to do.

People's Voice Party was started by lawyer Lim Tean. Brad Bowyer joined Lim Tean very early on and has stayed until today when he made a Facebook post on his page. In his post, Brad mentioned that he does not have any direct associations with People's Voice Party since 24 March and wished Lim Tean and his team all the best and thanked them for all the friendship and experiences.

He did not cite any reasons for leaving the party. However, he did mention that he was on a road to recovery for his health issues. He also did not make many mention on what he will do next to help serve Singapore.

Netizens tried digging reasons for his departure but Brad did not take the bait. We wish him all the best and hopes that his health issues will be gone in the near future!

For those who have questioned my recent change of banner and a few other signs I wish to confirm that yes, Since Sunday 24th March, I no longer have any direct association with Peoples Voice.

It has been an interesting 2-year experience as I contributed to Lim Tean and team where I could as he developed his party. The road has had its ups and downs as I had my own health battles to deal with but now, I am fully on the road to recovery, it has become clear that the next stage of my serving Singapore will likely lay on another path.

I do not yet know exactly where this may be, but while it is emerging, I will continue to research and write my commentary on this Facebook Page, put out my weekly Brads Bites Podcast and support alternative views where I can until the new path is before me.

I look forward to receiving good council from all those concerned as to what that new route may entail and the choices I should finally make.

I wish Lim Tean and his team all the best as they go about serving Singapore in the way they feel is right and thank them for the friendship and experiences I was afforded during our journey together.

At the end of the day we cannot always choose how we are called to serve but must accept the role that fate and the majority have dealt us to play and I feel in my heart my role now lies elsewhere.

Thank you everyone for your understanding and continued support in this time of change and learning.

Three Singaporeans who were taking part in a cosplay festival were among those to have been detained by Malaysian police over the weekend in Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian authorities said the arrest of the three Singaporeans were for allegedly violating the conditions of their social visit passes.

It was widely reported in Malaysian media that the Malaysian Immigration Dept had raided the Cosplay Festival 4, which was a two-day event event taking place at Sunway Putra Hotel. A total of 12 people were detained, which also included the event organiser, a Malaysian. The rest of the 11 people were foreigners, including the three Singaporeans. All the foreigners detained were in Malaysia on social visit passes.

Apparently, the cosplay festival was held without permission from Malaysia's Central Agency for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes, or Puspal. Singapore's MFA said that they were aware of the arrests, and that they are rendering consular assistance the three affected.

Who would ever choose to accept a Diploma-level job with such a low pay? If this is all our job market has to offer, some people have to wake up their ideas and do something about it.

SIA group CEO Goh Choon Phong has apologised to all the Scoot passengers who were affected after oxygen masks were deployed when their flight was landing at the Taipei Airport. There were a total of 178 passengers on the flight, and though there were no injuries, one infant did throw up during the descent.

In response to the media, Scoot had said that the pilots had switched on a back-up power unit to prevent an overweight landing caused by excess fuel. This caused a slight loss of cabin pressure, but not enough to have caused any major issues. However, the pilots still decided to deploy the oxygen masks as a precaution. Mr Goh has since acknowledged that the actions by the pilots had caused unnecessary anxiety and inconvenience to the passengers.

Scoot had already said that the pilots involved will be sent for retraining due to their  "procedural decisions" which contributed to the slight loss of cabin pressure, and decision making which caused anxiety to passengers.
