A female e-scooter rider has died after she was involved in an accident with a bus at Woodlands Avenue 6 on Friday morning. Eyewitnesses said the woman ended up under the rear wheel of the bus after the accident.

Police confirmed that a 39 year old woman was hit by the bus when the bus was turning in to a carpark near Admiralty Place. The accident happened at around 9am, and the woman was taken unconscious to the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The 60 year old bus driver is assisting the police with investigations.

Eyewitnesses also said that paramedics were seen giving CPR to the victim.

SingPost, what are you doing? A woman complained on Facebook after finding a stack of unopened mail left at a wastepaper ditch near the letterbox at Tampines.

"Not sure what happened but for sure we have some lost parcels here. But fret not, these are in good hands with me. Singapore Post I am not redistributing these two stacks for you. Pls contact me to get your letters back and do a thorough investigation on what exactly happened."

In an update this morning, she said that SingPost has contacted her and will be sending someone down to retrieve the undelivered items.

There may be various reasons why the mistake happened but it really should not be happening. Furthermore, SingPost has already been under fire enough times.

"Packages aside, there are letters that are of private and confidential nature that you don't want them to be lost just like that. There could be people who may make use of your info and do malicious things. If you ever have the same encounter, pls be kind to our mails."

Can?

A man have been arrested by the Police for his suspected involvement in an outrage of modesty case on board an MRT train. The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, and involved an 18 year old woman.

Police statements indicated that the 18 year old woman was molested when she was on a train heading to Yio Chu Kang Station from Choa Chu Kang. Police managed to apprehend the suspect with help from SMRT staff.

We assume that as the man is 37 years old, he would probably be too old to use the "he has a future ahead of him" excuse to get only a 12 month suspended sentence.

The NUS peeping tom issue has since became a national issue with Singaporeans from all walks of life commenting about it. Most are angry with how NUS and our Singapore Police Force has addressed the issue. However, they still insist on giving him a "second chance".

Everybody is waiting to see what the perpetrator has to say of course. Our state media of course can't wait to get an exclusive scoop and interviewed the perpetrator. And what do you do when you have an exclusive scoop? Put it behind a pay wall of course!

The article titled "Exclusive interview with Nicholas Lim: No excuse, it was very wrong, says man at centre of NUS sexual voyeurism case" is a premium article on Straits Times. The people behind it obviously only care about the money. With so many people in Singapore wanting to know about the case, worried about how the same things might happen to them and worried about how their perpetrators can get away with it by just acting remorseful, you would think that Straits Times would provide the news for free. But of course, the people in charge are just typical money grabbing bastards. Like many of our leaders in charge of our country.

Is this how we want our country to be run? Is it really all about the money? Shouldn't the citizens concerns come first?

The long will they or won't they saga regarding the Vehicle Entry Permit scheme that Malaysia have threatened to implement for foreign registered cars entering its borders via the Causeway and Second Link is finally drawing to a close. The VEP scheme will be implemented from October this year.

The Malaysian government announced that this will be carried out in three phases, with the borders between Singapore and Malaysia first, followed by the Malaysia-Thai border, and lastly the Malaysia-Brunei-Indonesia border, although only the Singapore border VEP implementation has a set month. The VEP scheme has had many false starts, and has been in testing since 2018.

The VEP tag will be for each vehicle will be valid for 5 years, and only four locations in Johor Baru can install the VEP RFID tag on the vehicles. It has not been announced yet how much the cost of installing the RFID tag will be, and the VEP fee has also not been announced.

Our 151 mainstream media has done it again. A few hours ago, the Straits Times published an apology for wrongly using another maid's photo in an article about an alleged murder.

The article from two days ago reported on a maid who was arrested for allegedly killing her employer. The photo that was used, however, was that of another maid who was working for a Singaporean employer who is still very much alive. The employer was appalled and has since spoken up about ST's negligence.

In a Facebook post, he said that he wanted to help his Burmese helper seek redress and clear the misunderstanding. She is not the same maid who was caught. It remains a mystery how ST had mistakenly used her photo even though she and the culprit did not look alike at all.

Thankfully for the 151 media, the maid will not be pressing charges.

So much for fighting fake news when they cannot even get a simple thing right. You only have one job. Is it really that difficult?
