The Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) announced that they have sacked two of their staff, while their CEO and four other senior management were fined for their negligence in SingHealth cyber attack.

IHis announced that the two sacked staff was a Team Leader in the Citrix Team and a Security Incident Response Manager, and they were both found to be negligent in their duties and failed to follow orders. A third staff was found to be incompetent in his work and not suitable to his role as a Cluster Information Security Officer, thus he was demoted and reassigned. They also imposed financial penalty to their top senior management, for their failure in leadership responsibility.

IHiS has led the way in coming down hard on senior staff who were found to be negligent and unsuitable in their roles. And all this while, we have incompetent Ministers who under their stewardship has seen many faults appearing in all public service sectors, yet they still sit in their cushy seats in their ivory tower.

A "drunk" Indian Man ran off from a patient taxi driver to evade his fare on 12 January 2019, you can read more here:

Super Patient Taxi Driver Meets "Drunk" Fare Evader, Doesn't Get Fare Back

The taxi driver took the video to Facebook and it went viral in the past few days. Most netizens were of course scolding the Indian man for cheating the taxi driver of his fare while a few people were also saying that the taxi driver was at fault for not calling the police from the beginning.

While the taxi driver might be happy with the amount of people supporting him and helping him CSI the fare evader, one particular netizen made a comment accusing the taxi driver of already taking $50 from the passenger as well as harassing him. The netizen also claimed that the driver is currently under investigations by SMRT which the driver claims to have not been informed that SMRT was doing so.

The taxi driver then made a police report against the netizen as well. We can only wonder if this netizen is trying to stir shit or if she is telling the truth. At the end of it, we hope that the fare evader gets caught (if he really evaded the fare).

Singapore Post has finally apologised after a spate of complaints. It understands that Singaporeans deserve better service but explained that the drop in standards was due to increased package volumes and busier schedules last year.

It said that the postmen were already working beyond their hours: "We hired extra resources, recalled personnel and activated teams from the corporate office on Saturdays just to meet the demand as well but our service quality still suffered as a result."

It also attributed poor attitude to the few bad eggs who acted in their personal capacity and not for the best interest of the company.

SingPost promised to look into the complaints seriously in order to prevent future failures. "We assure you that we will be vigorous in reviewing and revising our operational procedures, so that you will receive your letters, packages and parcels without delay, without hassle, and most importantly, without frustration.

Please bear with us, as we seek your patience to transform and serve you better. This remains our commitment to all of our customers and we would like to thank you for your feedback.

From all of us at SingPost, we are sorry for the inconvenience and hardship caused."

A pity to the overworked staff but what's done is done. How convincing is their promise to deliver, really?

In a video taken by the husband of a lady cyclist, the woman had a fall as a bus came too close to her as she was riding on the road at Choa Chu Kang. The incident happened on Sunday morning, and it was all captured by the husband as he was riding ahead of her.

The husband, Johnson Ang said that as they were travelling in a single file formation on the road, a coach was seen slowly driving up towards them. As the coach drew ever closer to his wife, he noticed that the coach was driven closer and closer, even though his wife had kept well to the side of the road. As it came too close when alongside her, the wife had instinctively rode closer to the kerb to avoid the bus. This eventually resulted in her hitting the kerb and falling hard onto the grass verge. Mrs Tan apparently hit her head and suffered abrasions on her left leg as a result.

The bus driver meanwhile, drove on without stopping, perhaps not realising he had almost killed someone.

A kind, patient taxi driver had his share of bad luck yesterday. The taxi uncle repeatedly asked a seemingly drunk Indian man to get out of his taxi and pay up after reaching his destination. The drunk man was allegedly sitting in the taxi for over 15 minutes and he continues to struggle with the concept of paying the fare of $12 after getting out of the car.

The exchange goes on for about 5 minutes before the drunk man decides to run away from the driver. The video ends with the taxi uncle panting heavily after trying to chase down the drunk man. It is not known if the taxi uncle managed to get his fare. It doesn't appear so.
