A 30 year old woman have been arrested in connection with the Platinum Dog Club case on Sunday, and netizens are alleging that the woman arrested was the operator of the club.

The arrest was revealed by the AVA in a statement released after queries from the public, and after Minister Shanmugam told everyone to calm down and that proper actions will be taken in the case. Another PAP MP, Sun Xueling, also got in the mix when she claimed via her FB posting that several dog owners have been reunited with their dogs after they had been left in the care of Platinum Dog Club. It was believed that the woman arrested was Charlotte Liew, who most said is the operatr behind Platinum Dog Club. However, the name of the arrested woman was not confirmed by AVA. It was also reported that Platinum Dog Club was not properly registered as a dog boarding house with AVA.

The dog that brought Platinum Dog Club under the spotlight, Price, meanwhile still remains missing as of Monday evening.

Some of you might remember the family feud between Lee Wei Ling (LWL), Lee Hsien Yang (LHY) and Lee Hsien Loong (LHL) over the house at 38 Oxley Road. For those who don't, LWL and LHY wanted the house to be demolished as dictated in Lee Kuan Yew's (LKY) will. However, LHK has been unhappy with the will and his late father's wish and has fought against the decision of demolishing it. In 2016 and 2017, LWL claimed that PM Lee wanted to attack the will through a committee of his ministers.

On the FB post, LWL said that the LKY never complained about his will, and that all parties including LHL has accepted the will as representing Lee Kuan Yew’s true wishes. So why the new attack on the wills now after all this time?

Her FB post was shared by her brother LHY who has not posted on his Facebook as well since Sept 2018.

The Attorney-General's Chambers has recently lodged over 500 pages of complaint to the Law Society against Hsien Yang’s wife over the preparation our father’s will. They claim that the AG, Lucien Wong, Hsien Loong’s former personal lawyer, has recused himself. The AGC’s complaint repeats allegations that were made years ago by Hsien Loong through his personal lawyer. As far as we know, this is an unprecedented use of such legal process involving a private will.

Hsien Loong has been unhappy with our father’s will and our father’s wish to demolish his home at 38 Oxley Road. Lee Kuan Yew informed all his children and his lawyer at Lee & Lee when he completed his final will and codicil 5 years ago. In 2015, on Hsien Loong’s urging, the estate secured probate for the will. At the time, all parties including Hsien Loong accepted the will as representing Lee Kuan Yew’s true wishes. After probate, in 2016 and 2017, Hsien Loong sought to attack the will through a committee of his ministers.

Lee Kuan Yew, a highly regarded lawyer, never complained about his will. No beneficiary has complained to the Law Society, not even Hsien Loong who was advised by Lucien Wong (previously his personal lawyer, now AG). Why therefore this new attack on our father’s will? Why is this being initiated now, and by the AGC, after all this time? Our view is that this action is wholly without merit.

The AGC has also been relentless this past one and a half years pursuing a prosecution of Li Shengwu for a private Facebook post. At the same time, the AGC has not prosecuted any party who shared or published his private post.

What do you think? Will there be more familee saga?

An Indian national, who was sharing a GrabShare ride with another woman, have been jailed for 12 days after he was found guilty of exposing his private parts to her while in the car.

The 32 year old woman was sharing a ride with 36 year old Sheth Jimit Dhairyakant, when she noticed him behaving suspiciously. Moments later, the Indian national flashed his private parts at her. The ride from hell for the woman occurred on 26 October 2017 when the woman boarded the car from Marina bay Sands heading to Bedok North. Dhairyakant boarded the car about 10 minutes later at Cecil Street and sat at the rear passenger seat next to the woman. It was during this time that the woman noticed Dhairyakant keep pointing his mobile phone at her, and whenever she looked at him, he quickly pretended to be typing something on his phone. Subsequently, she heard shuffling noises beside her and she saw Dhairyakant exposing and touching his private parts.

The woman immediately requested the driver to drop her off at a location beside the police station, where she made a report against Dhairyakant. Dhairyakant admitted subsequently that he became aroused after he saw what the woman was wearing.

Many people are up in arms against Platinum Dogs Club pet boarding house for allegedly abusing their pets. Some of the animals that were entrusted in their care suffered infections, went missing and were not fed properly. A few days ago, crowds of people gathered outside the residential boarding place to seek redress for the poor animals. Apparently that itself became an issue.

According to a Facebook user, people were seen holding placards and standing silently outside the house. It is no wonder the police are also concerned about stopping this "unlawful assembly".

Minister K Shanmugam said that they may be dealt with separately. "Singaporeans can rest assured: there will be thorough investigations and there will be due process. Anyone who has engaged in illegal acts will face the consequences.

There are also allegations that some people, in response, have also acted wrongly, and taken the law into their own hands. Those allegations will also be investigated."

Some enraged netizens have responded that it is unfair as the authorities should be investigating the owner of Platinum Dogs Club instead.

First, the owner and now, some more Singaporeans. Great, shouldn't the focus be on the irresponsible pet boarding house rather than on Singaporeans who were seeking justice for their pets? Trust our authorities to make the situation worse than it already is.

One thing's for sure: There is going to be no happy ending to this.

Following Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong's response to Jolovan Wham's guilty charge, Amnesty International Hong Kong will be holding a Facebook live chat with blogger Leong Sze Hian. Leong was sued for defamation after sharing a post which alleged that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was corrupt.

The chat is part of Amnesty International's new programme on human rights. Leong will most likely be featured in the first episode, which will shed light on freedom of speech in Singapore.

The first episode will air this Sunday (6 Jan) at 1pm on their Facebook page.

Will this be considered unlawful "public" assembly too?
