Blogger Leong Sze Hian Sued By PM Lee For Defamation

Well, he has decided not to take it lying down. Leong Sze Hian is now suing PM Lee for abusing the process of the court. He has also employed Lim Tean of Carson Law Chambers, who is also the founder of People's Voice Party, to be his legal counsel. In his Facebook post, Leong Sze Hian claims that even though it might be his name on the case file, "this action is bigger than my name, bigger than just the one ordinary Singaporean that I am. It is for every Singaporean today who has ever shared a post on Facebook, for every child who will share a post on Facebook and for the unborn generations to come."

Finally someone is doing something to stand up to PAP. Will you support his cause?

Is a police report relevant only if a pervert laid his hands on a woman? Is it not enough that he was looking at her in a disturbing way?

A woman was on the train to Bishan when she noticed a man looking at her legs from his phone camera. She claimed that she could see it from the reflection opposite her. 

"Nevermind you already look like a true pervert doing this, but your screen’s brightness is also at a 100%, allowing me to have an absolutely clear view of whatever your camera is pointing at. To add on, it was a real disgusting sight to see how intently he is staring into his screen at that."

Before anyone jumps the gun to blame her for being scantily dressed, she said that she was appropriately dressed. 

She made a police report after consulting her friends and family. To her horror, the person on the other end said: "He also never touch you, why are you making this a big deal by reporting it to the police? You’re creating trouble for yourself and everyone here."

Does it mean that it is perfectly fine for men to gawk at women in a disgusting way as long as they did not have physical contact? Was she in any way, in the wrong, for alerting the authorities about the matter? Should she have shut up and take it lying down?

"What do you mean by because he didn’t touch you so you’re making a big deal out of this? So I’m supposed to allow this matter to rest and I shut up about it, and wait for things to really aggravate and wait for him to intensify his actions by perhaps molesting or raping girls and then we can conclude that it’s too late?

Please. There are times you should be alert and do the right things, and the least you can help is to be supportive. Help another out here.

The point is, this can happen to anyone and everyone. And let me tell you this, the next time it happens to you, do not hesitate to go up to a pervert and confront them to save a life. You’ll probably have a lifetime of regret not doing the right thing to save other woman from this absolutely disgusting nightmare."

That sucks.

This Singaporean woman had her Christmas ruined by a bus driver whom she claimed lack empathy. She was boarding bus 856 at an industrial area when the driver told her that her son had to pay the adult fare. She realised that she did not have enough small change and expected the driver to at least give her a ride until the nearest ATM at Yishun. 

Unfortunately for her, he didn't. She ended up having to get off the bus because the bus captain could not refund her anyway, which explains her following rant:

"Where the hell was freaking service and empathy ??? Couldnt he at least give us a ride till Yishun mrt and I will withdraw and get that $1.00 change ??!!!
Omg !! Its freaking Christmas !!!

So I told my son to take the bus as I did not want him to walk all the way with me on top of that it is freaking ridiculous to argue over $1 !!!! I alighted and walk all the way to woodlands mrt !!! Do you blooddy know how far it is ???!!

I went all the way just to meet my son back at Yishun interchange. Do you know how freaking stupid this is ??? What an idiot !!!

No compassion or empathy?? I am in the middle of nowhere ??!!! All the shops are closed !!! Bloody piss me off !!!"

And that was Christmas for a child who didn't bring his ez-link card and a woman who thought that bus drivers are more understanding. 

Is it all that surprising? Just look at our elite politicians, do you see any empathy? 

As expected, NParks have quickly came out to absolve themselves from blame on the trees that fell at Sembawang Park yesterday, which injured 14 people who were hiding away from the thunderstorm. NParks said that the two trees that fell were inspected May last year, and were deemed healthy. 

This comes after on of the tree that fell hit the pavilion in which the 14 were taking shelter at, resulting in their injuries. In explaining themselves, NParks said that the trees fell most likely as they were uprooted by the thunderstorm and heavy winds. Under guidelines, tress are inspected and pruned every 12 to 24 months, and the trees that fell is within the inspection grace period. 

But of course, these kind of statements are to be expected. After all, who would come out and say the trees were never inspected, thus that's why they fell. 

After a spate of food poisoning cases in Singapore, you would think that those in the F&B industry will be more careful about food hygiene. Apparently not.

A man was shocked to find a fragment of what looks like plastic in his McDonald's mocha frappe. He ordered it from the Hougang branch and only saw the alien object when he was almost finishing the drink. 

He thinks it is "some kind of plastic [that] looked like it dropped off from the false ceiling". 

Is this what customers have to sacrifice in order for "faster" food service? What do they have to say to this?

He has been CSI-ed by netters and it appears that he has made a public apology.. of sorts? 

On his own Facebook profile, he did not explicitly say that he was sorry for making those racial remarks but he made two posts telling the public how much he loves Malays because he loves Bandung and Ondeh Ondehs?

Netters also called him out for making use of Jesus's name in his apology. Questioning where was the love and acceptance that Jesus taught him when he scolded the youngster. 

I wonder if the boy accepts this apology. At least he tried?
