Singaporean activist Jolovan Wham and SDP's John Tan were found guilty of contempt of court. Wham was charged for alleging that Singapore judges lack integrity. He specifically said that Malaysian judges are more independent when it concerns matters with political implications.

It was then that Tan supported his allegations through a Facebook post.

Both parties were said to undermine the integrity of Singapore's judiciary, which may have negatively impacted public confidence in its impartiality. They will be sentenced on 7 Nov 2018. They face a maximum fine of $100,000 and a 3-year jail term.

As if it was unexpected.

Hard to have opposition unity lah.

Two days ago, opposition politician Goh Meng Seng warned Singaporeans about a crowdfunding campaign for the Workers' Party's ongoing Court case. He claimed that it is a scam as the netizen who started it was not authorised to collect money for them in any way.

"Most likely this is a FRAUD and I would urge everyone to be extremely cautious when you are dealing with monetary donations to unknown person, in the name of any cause".

The netizen, "Frances Ng", later responded that it is not a fraud. She explained that she was simply asking people to pledge their SG Bonus as a gesture of standing in solidarity with WP. She said that it does not entail any actual transaction of people's bonus, so it does not contravene any law in Singapore.

"he cant handle me so he muted me

Strange that I can read but I can't comment for the allegations he made about me in his post... It is only fair that I can have access to comment. Be a gentleman, a man of principles, Goh Meng Seng!"

Who's right who's wrong? Or did they both act #InGoodFaith?

A biker can thank his lucky stars that when he suffered an accident, a doctor and a nurse just happened to be passing by the area while on their way to see their patient in Jurong.

The accident between a motorbike and a taxi happened near Lau Pa Sat on Sunday night, and Dr Shravan Verma, who runs a 24 hour mobile medical service, happened to be there with all his medical equipment. In the aftermath of the accident, the biker was lying on the rod groaning in pain, so Dr Shravan helped to immobilise the man's neck in case of spinal injury, before proceeding to check his vital signs and making sure there were no severe injuries.

The ambulance only arrived 30 minutes after the accident, so it was a good thing the good doctor was there to save the day. Why did the ambulance take 30 minutes though?

Alternative news site States Times Review is no more. In a Facebook post on 8 Oct 2018, STR announced that "the dictatorship is likely to take down States Times Review on false charges of propagating fake news and foreign funding".

The editor has voluntarily shut itself after more than 4 years of alternative news reporting. The website will now function as the editor's personal blog.

Is alternative news definitely fake news? What kind of country will Singapore become if everyone is fed the same news that they want us to hear? How many Singaporeans do they want to silence?
