A lady recently ordered a 3d Durian cake. This is how it's supposed to look like:

Looks just like the real thing right?

Unfortunately for this lady, Jane, her ordered cake did not come as expected.

She ordered her cake through e-commerce site, Lazada. The cake was supposed to be for her mother's 70th birthday as the mother has been wanting to try the cake for awhile.

However, according to Jane, the delivery man allegedly "flipped and spun the box like it's a hot potato". That resulted in the sludge shown below:

Jane then got in touch with the customer service and was offered a refund and a $10 credit. However, she felt that it was insufficient as the big day was ruined.

She then went to get another cake for her mother.

Would you have been appeased by the refund and credit?

Straits Times is offering a course to teach you how to fight against fake news. The course is titled: THE STRAITS TIMES MEDIA ANALYSIS COURSE.

The 8 hour course is set to take place on 31 July at the SPH News Centre, costing $648 per seat. The description of the course states that it aims to equip the participants with "the skills to spot fake news and analyse arguments in the media".

One of the trainers is a sernior journalist at The Straits Times, Shefali Rekhi. They described her as one of the key anchors in Straits Times intitiatives to fight fake news.

Singapore Press Holdings have stated before that they welcomed the new anti-fake news law, POFMA.

SPH has always been known to be used as the Government's mouthpiece. Spreading their own propaganda messages to Singaporeans. Can we really trust them to teach on a topic such as fake news?

A man going by @SP1DERBOI, recounted his story of how a man who complimented his shirt on train shared his life story.

This man, going by the name of Takalah was a sportsman who competed in many various activities and sporting events. He was also successful in getting himself a job placement at a renowned multinational firm. Unfortunately for him, he met in a bad accident and was in the ICU and brain surgery for 14 days before months of reconstructive surgery. He even had to relearn trivial things such a speech.

@SP1DERBOI mentioned that he had mad respect for Takalah. 6 years after his accident, Takalah now has a teaching degree and you can hardly tell that he met an accident. He speaks with fluent English and has no resentment for anything that has happened to him. And he only has half a brain.

Takalah is such an inspiring person. We could all learn a little from him.Because I know, if I were to be left with half a brain, I definitely would not be as successful as Takalah.

A man, Isaac Low, was hit by a car while crossing a zebra crossing on his PMD. Low was thrown a distance after being hit by the car. As a result, he suffered from bleeding in his brain (Truamatic Subdural Hemmorrage) and post traumatic amnesia(PTA). He also mentioned that his PTA was in the timeframe of 24 hours before and after the accident.

Low took to Facebook to ask his friends or anybody who interacted with him to drop him a PM to see if he remembers anything or just to job his memory.

An aquarium, glassbox, went on to Facebook after someone poisoned a tank of their high-value fishes. The aquarium claims to have lost between $400-$500.

The man was caught on CCTV, throwing an unknown white powder into the fish tank before walking off. The man was seen loitering around the shop before the deed and left within 20 seconds of doing it. The powder became a white cloudy substance after contact with the water and also emitted a strong smell.

Here's a picture of the aftermath:

The aquarium has been appealing for any information regarding the saboteur.

The owner was tending to another customer and did not know of this until a customer raised it up to him. Police reports have been made.

What was the point of killing off the aquarium's fishes? Was the man from a competing aquarium?

PAP Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim is currently a Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social and Family Development. He also currently serves as a Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC.

On 16 June 2019, he made a Facebook post with a photo of Pritam Singh in it. The caption writes:

Been a while since Pritam and his team visited us. Very infrequent in the last year.

Today we came across Pritam and team today, during my walkabout. Said hello.

The last time we saw them in Nee Soon was more than eight months ago - Nov 2018. And before that, we saw them in February last year.

I was with our volunteers greeting residents, and handing out Fathers Day cards.

Wishing every Dad a #HappyFathersDay.

Many netizens felt that he was being sarcastic in his post. Furthermore, Nee Soon is not even Pritam Singh's own ward.
Despite the sarcastic post from Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Pritam Singh was gracious enough to respond:
Thanks Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim. Best wishes and Happy Father’s Day once again.
Netizens praised him for being so gentlemanly and called out the Assoc Prof out for the low blow.
pritamgracious
If only everybody can be as gracious as Pritam Singh. What a breathtaking guy.
